Do you need more than one hand to count the number of MLM companies you have “tried your hand at”?

In all reality, most network marketers change companies a number of times before they finally arrive at one of two places – they either get fed up with the whole industry and quit, or they finally become successful. Lamentably, more often than not, they have arrive at the former.

Here’s the thing – it’s not the “perfect opportunity” those few “lucky SOB’s” finally come in contact with that makes the difference.

I know that for some onlookers it may seem like that – but even a great company will have a lot of people that fall flat on their faces. (Which can be a pretty hard pill to swallow in and of itself.)

In terms of the video above, many people keep trading their “spouse” in for a newer model, hoping that it will make life easier. It usually only takes a few “trade-ins” to finally discover that the grass really isn’t greener on the other side.

Now, in keeping with the marriage theme, you shouldn’t just elope with the first company that comes along. You should have your eyes wide open as you look for a partner – one with all the qualities that you dreamed about all those years. But once you find what you were searching for you need to close your eyes and go to work!

There will always be a new hot, blonde bombshell that is going to parade in front of you – often times with a LOT of silicone and collagen to make the outside package look better than it really is. Just keep your eyes half shut and go to work, and your “MLM bride” will look better and better as time passes.

The best thing you can do for the relationship is go to work on yourself. If you continually improve your attitude and skill set you will be surprised how smooth things will go between the two of you. If you are constantly bringing more to the table for your company, your company will in turn, bring more to the table for you.

If on the off chance that your “spouse” decides to up and leave you in the gutter, like the recent events at iLearningGlobal, you will have improved yourself so much that it will not be hard to get back on your feet.

One of the newest skill sets that network marketers and all business people alike have had to learn in the last few years is how to use the internet to benefit their businesses. It is one that is relatively simple but it can hurt you the most if you don’t know what you are doing.

That’s why I want to share with you and any other network marketer the exact formula I use to leverage the internet. Now I’m not interested in you “cheating on your MLM spouse” with me… What I AM interested in is offering a way that you can strengthen the relationship you already have.

So if your “MLM marriage” has been on the rocks, take a second to learn the simple things you can do today to make it a fairytale again.

It seems like there is a new network marketing company lurking around every new corner – and with each one comes LOTS of information. More often than not, the bulk of this information comes from the company’s distributors – feverishly contending for the biggest possible piece of the pie in hopes that it will result in some fresh blood coming into their business. Rarely, if ever, do you find really objective information about a network marketing company online. Usually it is out there for one reason and one reason only – to convince some sucker that they need to be a part of the next big thing.

My objective with this article is to provide you with information about a company by the name of Qivana that has officially been “launched” for about six months.

In September of 2009, Qivana, a company whose headquarters are located near the mouth of Provo Canyon in Provo, Utah, held its official launch at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida.

They claim to be one of the most compelling home based business opportunities of the last decade – big surprise, right?

Now I am not involved with Qivana, nor do I plan on becoming so. But that’s not what this article is about – what it IS about is providing YOU with some unbiased information about this new company.

Some of the first questions that begin to pop into the minds of prospective distributors is, “What is the product, and can I see myself selling it?” Without conceding that this is the most important factor in choosing a network marketing company, we will start there.

I have to admit that Qivana’s product line is a breath of fresh air in the network marketing industry. While there has undoubtedly been numerous companies with products aimed at improving your body’s major organs and systems, Qivana’s approach seems new to me. While their products are aimed at overall health and well being, their focus is primarily on the digestive and the cardiovascular systems.

The product is called Qore System. It is currently composed of four different parts with a three-fold purpose – to stabilize, vitalize, and optimize one’s body.

First, Qore Probiotic is used to stabilize intestinal health. In a nutshell, it provides the body with the “good” bacteria that it needs to extract the nutrients from food.

Second, Qore Essentials is a blend of various Asian herbs and Adaptogens that fights stress and helps promote cardiovascular vitality.

Third, is Qore Defense – a blend of six different species of mushrooms that purportedly optimizes the immune system.

Finally, Qore Detox is a blend of natural products that is supposed to cleanse your body of toxins and heavy metals.

The product seems to be a good product – if you can remember to take your pills every day, it may just be worth trying.

Furthermore, the company’s five founders seem to be well established in the business and network marketing world. That is one thing that I like to look into fairly extensively – as having the wrong person in the driver’s seat can lead to a quick demise.

Derek Hall, the CEO of Qivana, is an English immigrant that worked his way up from the bottom. He started as a truck driver but has since helped a variety of companies improve their profit margins.

Rodney James, the Chief Sales Officer of Qivana, has extensive experience on the corporate side of network marketing, as he has played significant roles in companies like Xango, VM Direct, and NuSkin.

Devin Glazier, the CFO of Qivana, has held financial positions at both Xango and Novell and seems to be well versed in the financial workings of big businesses.

Justin Banner, the Chief Strategy Officer of Qivana, has had a wide array of experience managing company strategies at both Xango and Tahitian Noni.

Craig Johanson, the Chief Marketing Officer of Qivana, has also had a lot of experience in the network marketing world as he was in charge of marketing for both Xango and Tahitian Noni.

The entire executive team seems very well educated, and judging by the few of them that I have met personally, they are good, amicable men.

Qivana has helped to take their distributors, or as they refer to them, IBO’s to the next level by providing them with a very impressive marketing system. With this system that provides a way to capture peoples’ information and start to build a relationship with them through an automated follow-up, the IBO’s that take advantage of it will be taking a step in the right direction.  However, despite their efforts, the Qivana marketing system falls short in one very important area.

Marketing online is becoming an increasingly important part of the network marketing industry. While Qivana’s system is adequate for developing a relationship with people that you already know and have specifically sent to your website to learn about the Qivana business opportunity and product line, it is not equipped to properly handle leads that most network marketers only dream about – those that are already interested in network marketing and looking.

You see most people will not be interested at first in your opportunity. If you haven’t found that out already, you soon will. However, there are thousands upon thousands of searches done each day on the internet by people that ARE interested in network marketing and looking for something that will work. To grab their attention, you need to be able to offer them something that THEY value – which unfortunately most of the time is not your business opportunity or products.

The truth is, they probably couldn’t care less about your business – they are worried about their own business and how they can make it work. If you are going to be successful in Qivana, you absolutely must learn the

that will enable you to really be of service to people that are struggling out there.

As Bob Burg and John David Mann state in their book entitled “The Go Giver”,

“Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment… …[and] your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.”

I think Qivana is a great company and that your chances of success in the network marketing industry are probably just about as good there as most companies, but don’t leave your success up to chance! Get the secret tools and strategies that will put your destiny back in your own hands NOW!

I just had to put this video up here because it made me laugh… and laughing is good for the soul, right?

It also made me think about many network marketers that I come across, both on and offline. Frequently they have the pedal to the metal, but their tires are spinning so violently that they can’t get any traction to get their business off the ground.

Now, there are undoubtedly many different causes for all the failure and frustration that people go through in this industry, but the one that I feel is responsible for it the majority of the time, is failure to understand this one simple principle.

That is, the Law of the Harvest.

It is called many different things by many different people, and I don’t want any credit for it, as I have only learned it from the great minds that have come before me, such as Napoleon Hill, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Norman Vincent Peale, and the list goes on. These men embodied this law and it is the thing that carried them on to greatness. These men and many other men and women like them have come from very humble beginnings, but they shaped the rest of their lives by taking control of the only thing that was in their control – their minds.

And here’s the kicker – so can you.

So back to the law of the harvest – or as Napoleon Hill also put it, the act of “going the extra mile”.

You can see it in action in any industry – anywhere that anybody has attained a sustained level of success. (Which can be interpreted in a variety of ways, but for the purpose of this article I will classify success as earning a large income – since what most network marketers are tirelessly trying to do is increase their income and improve their lifestyle.)

You will also find in any industry people that are trying to find a way around it – trying to figure out how to get an honest weeks pay for an honest days work. Unfortunately, the network marketing industry attracts a conglomeration of this kind of people because of the low barrier to entry and the ability to earn an income by leveraging the efforts of others.

They are easy to spot – chasing their uninterested friends and family, desperately pushing their “opportunity” on everyone they come in contact with, all with little or no success. Their wheels are spinning and they don’t know why.

Independent of any of our meager opinions of what the recipe for success is, the laws that govern it will always perform in exactly the same way – so, sorry, but there is no way to get something for nothing and keep it for long.

Let me share an excerpt from Napoleon Hill’s book “The Master Key to Riches”.

Observe how Nature applies this principle in the production of food that grows from the soil, where the farmer is forced to go the extra mile by clearing the land, plowing it, and planting the seed at the right time of the year, for none of which he receives any pay in advance.

But observe that if he does his work in harmony with Nature’s laws, and performs the necessary amount of labor, Nature takes over the job where the farmer’s labor ends, germinates the seed he plants and develops it into a crop of food.

And, observe thoughtfully this significant fact: For every grain of wheat or corn he plants in the soil, Nature yields him perhaps a hundred grains, thus enabling him to benefit by the law of increasing returns.

One of the key points about the Law of the Harvest that I want to point out is the notion that in order to have it and other laws working in your favor, you have to go the extra mile without getting any extra pay. You have to sow before you reap. You have to bring some value to the marketplace.

This can be a hard pill to swallow as many network marketers don’t have the financial wherewithal to plant in the spring and wait for the fall harvest to come around. Too often we dig up the seeds we have planted to see if there is any fruit ready to be plucked, and when there is nothing there, we throw the seeds away and tell ourselves we suck at farming.

Anybody with a “green thumb” will tell you that their plants don’t sprout and grow overnight. They spend a lot of time nurturing the seeds with what they need – water, nutrients, sunlight. They patiently care for them and with time, they reap the rewards.

So why should network marketing be any different? Why should you be able to reap before you sow?

Let me be so bold as to say that if you are expecting the results without the work, you are doing it wrong. Whatever success you achieve through that plan is probably not going to last long. As Jim Rohn put it, “Sometimes income takes a lucky jump, but unless you learn to handle the responsibilities that come with it, it will usually shrink back to the amount you can handle.”

Now, if you have been fortunate to start off with some measure of success, then I congratulate you! But don’t let a small sign of success prevent you from reaching what you are really after. Study the Law of the Harvest and how you can implement it in your business practices, and in your life. Nothing will benefit you more than searching for ways to go the extra mile without expecting anything in return for it.

If you consistently practice this one principle of going the extra mile without demanding anything in return for it, you will soon be hundreds or even thousands of miles ahead.

However, it would be wise to make sure that you are headed in the right direction before you start going all those extra miles, as a small course correction in the beginning can save you a lot of headache in backtracking down the road.

Another excerpt from Napoleon Hill’s book:

“One ship sails east, the other west,
Impelled by the self same blow,
It’s the set of the sails and not the gales,
That bids them where to go.”

If you are sitting there in front of your computer because you are emotionally too bloodied and beat up by the remarks of the “dream stealers” that are all around you, then you need to take a second to watch this video.

We are often conditioned to believe that we are incapable of accomplishing something by the destructive comments of people who are afraid of one of two things – that we will actually accomplish what we say we are going to do, or that we will fall flat on our faces trying. Obviously two very different emotions play a role in which side they take, jealousy on one side and a genuine but excessive feeling of protection on the other.

Of course, we can always find those that are in the middle, that are genuinely happy when we succeed and eager for us to outdo our previous accomplishments – the ones that understand that there is a certain level of risk that makes life worth living.

You really are an incredible individual that is capable of breaking through the impossible. You just need to condition your mind and soul to believe that you are that person and nothing can stop you…

This young man is an excellent example that anything is possible if we don’t let our own minds get in the way.
